The State of Missouri has determined that this device does not suffice for oil leakage and is only allowed for temporary use until the packing gland can be repaired/replaced. Remove the recovery unit after the packing gland has been repaired/replaced and record the oil loss per A17.1 2016 - 8.6.5.5.7

This requirement is due to the State of Missouri adopting the A17.1 2016 version of the elevator safety code. Overspeed valve shall be tested on or before the next annual inspection.	3/18/2024
