I plastic hose has been installed that goes directly from the packing gland to the hydraulic oil tank in the machine room. The current adopted code requires “oil loss detection” which cannot be obtained with the current method. A oil catch bucket shall be installed and oil loss shall be recorded in the maintenance control program. The hole in the hoistway/machine room wall shall be sealed to maintain the fire resistance rating.	8/9/2023
