8.6.1.2.1 General Maintenance Requirements Documentation

A written Maintenance Control Program (MCP) shall be in place to maintain the equipment in compliance with the requirements of 8.6.The MCP shall include but not limited to examinations, tests, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to applicable components at regular intervals.

There shall be maintenance records kept in the elevator machine room accessible to the inspector depicting dates and descriptions of maintenance tasks performed, callbacks, examinations, tests, adjustments, replacements and wiring diagrams. This shall be in accordance to the requirements in the Maintenance Control Program.

8.6.1.4.1(a) On-Site Maintenance Records (MCP Records)

There shall be maintenance records kept in the elevator machine room accessible to the inspector depicting dates and descriptions of maintenance tasks performed, callbacks, examinations, tests, adjustments, replacements and wiring diagrams. This shall be in accordance to the requirements in the Maintenance Control Program. Electronic means has NOT been approved by the State of Missouri.

8.6.1.2.2(b) On-Site Documentation (Procedures for Inspections and Tests)
|

Unusual testing procedures not outlined in A17.2 shall be present and accessible according to this code section. These include but not limited to procedures for tests, periodic inspections, maintenance, replacements, adjustments, and repairs for traction-loss detection means, broken-suspension-member detection means, residual-strength detection means, and related circuits.
