Since the machine room is sprinkled, it is required to have a smoke detector and a heat detector. The device in the machine room may be a dual heat/smoke detector, the function of the device shall be verified. If the device is not a dual heat/smoke detector, initiate the necessary corrective action. Verify all smoke initiating devices are operational.
