At least two wire-rope retaining clips shall be provided to attach the termination side to the load-carrying side of the rope (see Figure 2.20.9.5). The first clip shall be placed a maximum of 4 times the rope diameter above the socket, and the second clip shall be located within 8 times the rope diameter above the first clip.
