Sprinkler heads in the elevator machine room are required heat detectors to activate the shunt trip disconnect before the application of water. Heat detectors shall be installed within 2’ of each sprinkler head to activate the shunt trip disconnect. Reinspection required.

In phase II operation, the elevator car will not override the security feature on the car operating panel. Security shall be overridden in fireman’s service. Reinspection required.
