Based on an installation date of 1966, the hydraulic cylinder is assumed to be of the single bottom type. Proof of a safety bulkhead from the manufacturer is required. If a safety bulkhead cannot be verified, then the installation shall be altered to meet the requirements of A17.1 2016 8.6.5.8. Note: This information has been requested for years, but no documents confirming a double bulkhead exists in the machine room MCP. Failure to comply with this violation may result in the unit being red tagged out of service.
