A periodic test record for all periodic tests containing the applicable Code requirement(s) and date(s) performed, and the name of the person or firm performing the test, shall be readily visible and adjacent to or securely attached to the controller of each unit in the form of a metal tag. The mechanic performing the test did not have any test tags.

An individual data plate shall be provided and maintained for each unit indicating the Code and edition in effect at the time of installation. The data plate shall also indicate the Code in effect at the time of any alteration and indicate the applicable requirements of Section 8.7. It shall conform to the requirements of A17.1.8.9
