A17.1-1987 102.2 Sprinkler heads have been added to the elevator machine room without the required heat detector to activate the shunt trip disconnect before the application of water. Heat detectors shall be installed within 2’ of each sprinkler head to activate the shunt trip disconnect.

The car door restrictor device shall be repaired so that it will properly catch and restrict opening of the car doors to a maximum of 4 inches when the car is away from the landing zone. Reinspection is required.

This elevator has a backup emergency generator power that is used in case of a power outage. This system shall be scheduled to be tested and a reinspection is required. This requirement is due to the State of Missouri adopting the A17.1 2016 version of the elevator safety code. Reinspection required.
