7. For passenger elevators and all freight elevators, the brake shall be tested for compliance with applicable requirements. Place the load (125%) in the car and run it to the lowest landing by normal operating means. The driving machine shall safely lower, stop, and hold the car with this load. Never checked for 5-year testing. This is a re-inspect. 8.11.2.3.4

There is no code data plate found on the equipment to indicate the code and edition that the elevator was installed to, as used for all inspections. Provide a proper plate on the front of the controller or mainline disconnect.

The elevator drive machine will not hoist a 100% capacity load in the up direction. The drive machine shall be repaired or replaced to hoist the rated capacity. The elevator was removed from service and a re-inspection is required before the elevator can be returned to service.
