Scavenger pumps that do not record the amount of oil returned to the hydraulic tank in the machine room cannot be installed in the elevator pit. Either install a recordable scavenger pump or limit the amount of oil stored in the elevator pit.

During 15 minute standing test, the car dropped 5" with shut off valve closed in machine room. Leak appears to be in the underground piping or the inground hydraulic jack. Red tagged elevator.
