With the major upgrade of elevator #2, the fireman’s service phase I key switch was changed to meet the A17.1 2016 code. This code requires a different key than the other existing elevators in the Louderman complex. The current adopted codes of the authority having jurisdiction require that all fireman’s service keys for elevators in a building are required to be keyed the same. Change the fireman’s service key of this elevator to the “FEOK1” key as elevator #2.

The testing has not been completed on the elevator at this time. The weight test shall be performed, safeties set, buffers compressed and emergency light/bell tested before the inspection is completed.
