The car safety governor rope that was installed at the time of the major alteration, is not constructed of the correct type and shall be replaced. The installed rope is of the “lang lay” type and it shall be of the “regular lay” as the governor specifies. Reinspection required.

The elevator safety drum rope was replaced with non-code conforming material. Safety drum rope must be of a corrosion-resistant material and not be of tiller rope construction. Reinspection required.
