2.11 - Disconnecting Means and Control

The disconnecting means shall be an enclosed externally operable fused motor circuit switch or circuit breaker that is lockable in the open position and the provisions for locking shall remain in place with or without the lock installed. NFPA 70, 620.51(A), 110.25. Note: This elevator had a major alteration in 2019. The acceptance test was witnessed by St. Louis County. It appears at that time a new electric panel was installed that doesn't meet these requirements. The disconnect isn't lockable, which poses a hazard to personnel working on the control panel.

This elevator is equipped with an overspeed valve. The valve last had a category 5 test in 2019. A category 5 test is due in 2024.
