When testing the audible signaling device (alarm bell) with the 110V disconnect in the machine room in the “off” position, the device failed to sound, indicating that the back-up power device (battery) has failed. Repair for proper operation. This violation was issued on the last annual inspection which would indicate that the battery charging system is not operating and shall be repaired.
