This shall be in accordance to the requirements in the Maintenance Control Program. Electronic means has NOT been approved by the State of Missouri.

8.6.4.19.13 Broken Suspension Member and Residual Strength Detection Means

The suspension belt monitoring system has been disabled allowing the elevator to remain in service. This system is designed and required to place the elevator out of service when detection shows immediate replacement of the suspension belts. Suspension belt detection monitoring shall be re-enabled to operate as required.

8.6.4.19.13 Broken-Suspension-Member and Residual-Strength Detection Means. The suspension belt monitoring system is disabled/malfunctioning. With no monitoring means, the suspension belts were visual inspected with a significant amount of rouge present. This unit shall be removed from service until the suspension belts have been replaced and a repaired/replaced suspension belt monitoring system is in place.

The elevator safety governor pull-through force is over the manufacturer’s required force. The governor or the governor rope shall be repaired/replaced and retested. The elevator is locked out of service.
