Top floor landing is located outside in a parking garage. The top floor heat detector that actuates phase 1 fire recall at this landing was located below an awning. The old awning was removed and a new awning was installed below the heat detector. This will prevent phase i fire recall in the event of a fire at this landing. Also, the heat detector is now exposed to rain and snow. Either re-install awning above heat detector or relocate the heat detector below the awning. If heat detector is moved, a permit is required. Re-inspection required
