The testing has not been completed on the elevator at this time. The backup emergency power and fireman’s service shall be tested before the inspection is completed.

Upon performing the required annual test, the elevator safety governor was found to be degraded to a degree that the activation would not set. Repair or replacement of the governor is required and a reinspection shall be performed before the elevator can be returned to service.
