The overspeed valve shall be constructed, installed, and adjusted to ensure the tripping speed shall be not less than 110% nor greater than 140% of the elevator operating speed in the down direction, but in no case shall exceed 60 ft/min above the rated elevator speed. Elevator taken out of service by maintenance company.
