2.11 - Disconnecting Means and Control

The mainline elevator disconnect is accessible to the “public”. The National Electrical Code that this elevator was installed to explicitly states that the elevator disconnect can only be accessed by “qualified personnel”. The elevator disconnect shall be made accessible by qualified personnel and the operation of the elevator disconnect shall not be impeded by a locking mechanism on the elevator disconnect operation.

3.10 - Hoistway construction

The roofing nails are penetrating the hoistway ceiling approximately 3 inches. Remove the screw tips flush with the ceiling to prevent accidental contact to elevator and emergency personnel.
