The top of car traveling sheave is misaligned with the drive sheave causing unnecessary friction on the hoist belt retaining ridges. The traveling sheave shall be readjusted which will reduce the friction and prevent premature hoist belt replacement. Reinspection is required.

A written Maintenance Control Program (MCP) shall be in place to maintain the equipment in compliance with the requirements of 8.6.The MCP shall include but not limited to examinations, tests, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to applicable components at regular intervals.
