1) A capacity plate stating the rated load shall be provided by the manufacturer and fastened in a conspicuous place. Ref: 2000.7b A17.1 1984 (MO Min.)

2) Existing vertical and inclined platform lifts shall meet the requirements of ASME A17.1, 1984 edition, Part 20. Ref: (U)1 (MO Min.) Therefore a Code data Plate shall be fastened in a conspicous place so lift can't be inspected to a more stringent code.
