Hoistway enclosures shall have flush surfaces on the hoistway side. The fasteners protruding into the hoistway from the ceiling in the overhead present a hazard, and shall be cut off flush.

1.17 - Standby power operation
|
2.27.2.3 (Elevator Emergency Power Illuminated Signal)
|

|
Where an emergency or standby power system is provided to operate an elevator in the3 event of normal power supply failure, the requirements of 2.27.2.1 through 2.27.2.5 shall be complied with. An illuminated signal marked "elevator emergency power" shall be provided in the elevator lobby at the designated level to indicate that the normal power supply has failed and the emergency or standby power is effective.
