Sprinkler heads have been added to the elevator hoistway without the required heat detectors to activate the shunt trip disconnect before the application of water. Heat detectors shall be installed within 2 ft of each sprinkler head to activate the shunt trip disconnect. Sprinkler in machine room with heat and smoke detectors. Heat & smoke need to be installed in the top of hoistway. Those two devices will need to be tested when installed. Re-inspection required
