Hoistway wall covering must be a compliant fire restrictive product. Replace/recover with compliant product or provide compliance rating documentation for current sealant. Contractor indicated they may apply DC315 Coating at a minimum wet film thickness of 24mil wet (based on ICC ESR-3500 for Proseal LE) will create the thermal barrier needed and maintain the integrity of the insulation in the event of a hoistway fire.
