The State of Missouri has determined that this device does not suffice for oil leakage and is only allowed for temporary use until the hydraulic cylinder assembly can be repaired or replaced. Remove the recovery unit after the hydraulic cylinder assembly has been repaired or replaced and record the oil loss per A17.1 2016 - 8.6.5.5.
MO Minimum : Elevators (G) - Maintenance, Repair and Replacements 8.6.5.5.1 Examination and Maintenance Water has contaminated the hydraulic control system of the elevator. To prevent further damage to the hydraulic control system and for the safety of the public the elevator was placed out of service. The hydraulic oil shall be replaced and the cause of the contamination shall be corrected. Reinspection shall be performed before the elevator can be returned to service.
