The original hoist ropes were 1/2? diameter as shown on the crosshead data plate, the current hoist ropes are 9/16? diameter. The correct diameter of the hoist ropes shall be determined by the maintenance contractor and corrections made to either the crosshead data plate or the rope sheaves. Documentation shall be provided by a certified engineer in regards to the corrective measures.

The elevator hoisting ropes are showing a high degree of wear and shall be replaced. Replace ropes within 30 days of inspection.
