While attempting to witness the category 5 testing of the overspeed valve, the elevator was unable to hold the rated load of 2500 lbs. The elevator is red tagged and the category 5 overspeed valve test still needs to be completed.

8.6.5.16.5 Over Speed Valve Testing

This elevator is equipped with an over speed valve that in not sealed. A category 5 test shall be performed on the over speed valve in 2021 or 2022. The valve shall be sealed and tagged after the category 5 test.
