The battery back–up lowering device was tested and did not operate as designed, the elevator failed to return to a lower floor and open its doors. Repair the device to operate as it is designed. Reinspection required.

This elevator has a backup emergency generator power that is used in case of a power outage. This system shall be scheduled to be tested and a reinspection is required. This requirement is due to the State of Missouri adopting the A17.1 2016 version of the elevator safety code. Reinspection required.
