The elevator car when traveling in the up direction activates the buffer switch before the top direction limit. The current counterweight measurement is 4”. The hoistway ropes shall be shortened to 6” counterweight clearance or the direction limit shall be adjusted.

1) Emergency operation communication shall be maintained. Apparently the phone system on authorized personnel side has a problem. Ref: 8.6.4.15 This shall be addressed ASAP.
