ASME A17.1 2004 with 2005 Addendum and 2005 : Elevators 2.11 - Disconnecting Means and Control 2.26.4 x Where an additional power source is connected to the load side of the disconnecting means, the disconnecting means required in Section 620-51 shall be provided with an auxiliary contact that is positively opened mechanically and the opening shall not be solely dependent on springs. This contact shall cause the additional power source to be disconnected from its load when the disconnecting means is in the open position. Note: When the main disconnect is in the open position, the controller is still being powered by the UPS, which is there for emergency lowering. The auxiliary contact required by 620.91(c) is present and working, but merely feeds an input on the controller. This is the way it was designed by Virginia Controls. It presents a hazard to personnel servicing any electrical device in the control system. 12/9/2022

ASME A17.1 2004 with 2005 Addendum and 2005 : Elevators 11 CSR 40-5.090 Inspection and Testing 8.6.5.16.5 Over Speed Valve Testing This elevator is equipped with an over speed valve that in not sealed. A category 5 test shall be performed on the over speed valve in 2021 or 2022. The valve shall be sealed and tagged after the category 5 test. 10/27/2021
