The hydraulic oil cooler that is installed in the machine room has been switched off. This device cools the temperature of the oil when the elevator is being used excesively. It may be noted, that the elevator would not perform multiple runs at 100% capacity for the requried five year full load test. The building occupancy at this time is not at or near capacity at this time, which would require the elevator to perform at 100% capacity. Recmomment continual monitoring of the oil temperature and reactivate the oil cooler.

The battery back–up lowering device was tested and did not operate as designed, the elevator failed to return to a lower floor and open its doors. Repair the device to operate as it is designed.

The car door restrictor device shall be adjusted so that it will properly catch and restrict opening of the car doors to a maximum of 4 inches when the car is away from the landing zone. Reinspection is required.

The fireman's emergency service phase I and II operations was tested and the following deficiency was noted: Upon activation of fireman’s emergency service phase I, the elevator car returned to the primary floor as required BUT DID NOT open the rear opening where the fireman’s phase I key is located. This shall be corrected to open the rear door where the key switch is to comply with installation code. Reinspection required in 30 days.
